EMPOWERING CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE TO THRIVE
The Centre for Youth Empowerment and Civic Education (CYECE) is a Malawian non-profit and non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering children, adolescents, and young people to realize their full potential.
Our Vision
By 2030, Malawi and the world at large will be climate-sensitive societies where children and young people, in all their diversities, are safe, empowered, healthy, and meaningfully participating in socio-economic development.
Our Mission
To empower children, adolescents, and youth while promoting their rights and wellbeing through community mobilization, capacity building, education, evidence generation, research, behavior change communication, and advocacy.
Our Goal
To ensure the wellbeing of children, adolescents, and young people in their diversity by 2030.
Child Rights and Protection
We work with communities, families, schools, and institutions to promote child protection, prevent violence against children, and ensure that every child grows up in a safe and supportive environment.
Youth Empowerment
We equip young people with knowledge, leadership skills, and opportunities that enable them to participate in decision-making processes and contribute meaningfully to community development.
Adolescent and Youth SRHR
We promote access to health information and services, including sexual and reproductive health, mental health, nutrition, and wellbeing initiatives that improve the quality of life for young people.
Climate and Environmental Action
We support climate-sensitive development and encourage young people to participate in environmental stewardship and sustainable community initiatives.
Our Impact
Ensuring the wellbeing of children, adolescents, and young people in their diversity by 2030.
Over the years, CYECE has reached thousands of children, adolescents, and young people across Malawi through innovative programs, community engagement, leadership development initiatives, advocacy campaigns, and partnerships that create lasting change.
